A two-vehicle collision Friday morning caused some traffic disruption on Main Street in Steinbach. A pick-up truck and SUV crashed at around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Friesen.

Traffic was re-directed along side streets, which created some minor traffic jams and there were tight corners for the truck drivers.

Assistant Fire Chief Mike Penner says there appeared to be no injuries, and his crew was able to quickly clear the scene.

"Everybody knows what they're supposed to do. We just have to come together and make sure that first of all, that people and property are looked after. And after that, we clean up everything else."

A tow truck was needed to haul away both vehicles that were rendered undrivable from the collision.

Penner adds quick transfer of information is helpful in clearing a scene as quickly and efficiently as possible.

"I actually rolled up on the scene before the crews arrived, so we were able to transfer the message what we all needed to get done. So yeah, it comes together pretty quick."
