The Reeve of Hanover says it is puzzling why two of their provincial roads still have lower speed limits.

Stan Toews says the posted limit is 90 kilometers per hour along both PR 205 and PR 216, as they run through their municipality. Yet, according to Toews, all other provincial roads in Hanover have speed limits of 100 kilometers per hour.

In 2016, the municipality sent a request to the Highway Traffic Board, asking for PR 205 to be increased from 90 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour, starting at Highway 12 west to Grunthal and then continuing from PR 216 west to Highway 59. And that the speed limit along PR 216 be increased from 90 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour from PR 311 north of New Bothwell all the way to Highway 59 near Rosa.
