Police have provided more details on Friday evening's crash near Ste. Anne, that killed two people.

At approximately 10:10 pm, emergency crews were called to a two vehicle collision along Highway 12 at Greenland Road. 

According to RCMP, initial investigation has determined that a car was travelling south when it collided with a Sport Utility Vehicle that was crossing the highway.

The driver of the SUV, a 71-year-old male and front passenger, a 69-year-old female, both from the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne, were pronounced dead at the scene. The rear passenger, a 47-year-old female from Saskatchewan, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car and sole occupant, a 19-year-old male from Tyndall, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
