A  pastor, who has had a warrant for his arrest for several months, was in police custody Monday evening.

Tobias Tissen pastors the Church of God Restoration congregation near Pansy. Police issued the warrant for his arrest in late May, but he has eluded arrest for some time, telling media outlets he only wanted to be arrested in church and in front of others.

public protests in the city that violated health orders.

Video of the arrest posted to social media by Pastor Henry Hildebrandt, a friend and supporter of Tissen's, shows Tissen being placed in handcuffs and into a police cruiser. Tissen appears to be with his mother and a brother, whom he tells police are moving to Austria in the morning.

An update on Tissen's Twitter account says that he will remain in police custody Monday evening and appear before a magistrate in the morning.
