Driver not injured in early morning cow crash

Steinbach RCMP responded to a crash this morning, involving a car and a cow.

There were reports from motorists that as many as six cows were seen walking down Provincial Road 311, east of Highway 12. And, all of this before sunrise.

RCMP arrived to find the car involved in the crash, as well as one cow in the ditch. 

Police say the driver was no longer at the scene but had already called a tow truck. He was not injured. 

The owner of the cow was also notified.

There is no word on the extent of injuries that the cow sustained.
