Niverville has jumped on the bandwagon.
It has joined together with the RM's of Ritchot, Tache and Hanover and is asking the province to think about the impact the new floodway could have on southeastern Manitoba.  They have sent a letter to the government asking it to spell out what will happen if their area is artificially flooded due to the new floodway.  Mayor Greg Fehr wants to see that the province has a plan to deal with the flooding when it happens and that it is thinking about compensation for people in the affected areas.  He hopes that by joining together with other municipalities on this issue their request will hold more weight and spur the province into action.
