The 2020 Manitoba Marathon, which was to held on June 21st, was postponed last month and the 42nd edition of the race has been moved to this fall.

The decision to reschedule the marathon was made in late March after the City of Winnipeg announced all special event permits were cancelled until June 30.

The Father’s Day race attracts close to 10,000 runners and has raised over $5 million and seeded over 500 projects for Manitobans living with intellectual disabilities.

Clayton Dreger asked Rachel Munday, who is the executive director of the Manitoba Marathon, to look back to the middle of March when hockey, curling, ringette and high school sports in our province were cancelled because of COVID-19
