A ten vehicle collision was reported just east of Lorette on Provincial Road 207 and an RCMP spokesperson says officers have reported multiple semis in the ditch on Highway 52.

Tara Seel says officers are reporting roads as being slippery and slushie with poor visibility and Highway 52 being reported as particularly bad.

"The highway is not closed but RCMP are asking drivers to drive with caution and just be aware of the conditions. Maybe if you don't have to be out on the road right now, maybe stay home. At the very least, if you're going to drive, drive with caution."

Seel notes it's best to plan ahead and check road conditions before venturing out when road conditions are questionable. She adds there have been no injuries reported from the semi incidents on Highway 52.

"It's always good to have some safety gear in your car; warm winter clothing, blankets, that type of thing. If you're going to head out on the road, a fully charged cell phone or a way to charge your cell phone so you can call for help. Let someone know what route you're taking and when you plan to arrive at your destination so if you're not there they know to contact authorities and we can come looking for you."
