RCMP say one person has died following Monday's single vehicle rollover south of Landmark.

Hanover Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at about 4:45 Monday morning. Fire Chief Paul Wiebe says the rollover happened along Provincial Road (PR) 206, just north of PR 311.

According to police, a passerby noticed a vehicle in the ditch, called emergency services and stopped to assist.

"Our crews attended, found two occupants," says Wiebe. "One in the vehicle, one had already exited the vehicle."

Wiebe says they extricated the female passenger from the vehicle.

"They were both transported via ground ambulance to hospital," he says.

RCMP say the driver, an 18-year-old male from Niverville, and passenger, a 19-year-old female from Lorette, were both taken to hospital with severe injuries. Later Monday, the female died in hospital.

St. Pierre RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, and the Criminal Collision Investigation Team, continue to investigate.
