Lloyd Plett, Gord Reimer, Bill Hildebrand and Ron Plett met as part of the "60's decade" to help plan the LCI 50th Celebration

Landmark Collegiate is hosting a reunion celebration this weekend.  Planning spokesperson Marilyn Plett says the official 50th anniversary took place in October but the school is now hosting a public event.  She says she hopes this will be an exciting time to meet friends and people that haven't been seen for a long time.

Plett explains what is being planned.  "We have set some time aside on Saturday morning to do a meet the teacher.  Hopefully there will be a lot of the teachers who have been involved with the school over the last 50.  It will be a time to touch base with the teachers and students and see where life has taken each other.  People change and a person at 14 or 15 is sometimes a very different adult down the road.  That could be a very interesting morning."

People are invited to register for the event.  Links are found on the Landmark Collegiate website.  Plett says there is a $30 registration fee for anyone 12 and older who plans to attend.

Plett anticipates a couple hundred people could attend.  "We have not had large graduating classes over the years may have averaged 15 to 18 people per year.  We have a tent that is big enough for that.  And the event not just for grads, rather anyone who has attended Landmark Collegiate.  Often we think of reunions as just for graduates but we are focusing on anyone who has attended the school over the last 50 years."
