Three consecutive weekends of precipitation from Colorado Lows has pushed back the start of the golf season.

The Steinbach Fly-In golf course, Quarry Oaks and the La Broquerie golf course are all dealing with extremely wet conditions but that should change starting Thursday.

The forecast for the rest of this week is for temperatures to reach a much anticipated 20 degrees celsius.

Fly-In head professional Brian Guenther is hoping that their driving range will be open soon and the golf course might open next week.

Quarry greens superintendent Wilf Peters says the 27-hole layout is still fairly wet with some snow in the trees while La Broquerie's Director of Golf Mitch Tetrault is targeting a May 12th opening or the weekend of the 14th.

Golfers may be heading to the first tee a bit sooner if we get a steady week of above normal temperatures.
