After many dreary cloudy and rainy days this May, June brought with it sunshine and a burst of colour. Like going from a black and white movie, the southeast felt alive with vibrant hues. Our photographers captured some of the beauty found on the first day of June.

Environment Canada considers June 1st the official start of summer. And, David Phillips, Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada, says we can expect a lot of heat for the summer months of June, July and August. He cautions that it might take a bit to get there in early June, but the rest of the month will more than make up for it.
