The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forward Evander Kane on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Kane, 20, played in 74 games with the Winnipeg Jets last season where he accumulated 57 points (30G, 27A) and 53 penalty minutes. He ranked ninth in the league with 287 shots and first on the Jets roster in goals. Last season, Kane set new career-highs in games played (74), goals (30), assists (27), points (57), plus/minus (11), shots (287), powerplay goals (6) and game-winning goals (4).

The Vancouver, BC native has played in 213 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for 126 career points (63G, 63A) and 183 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the first round, fourth overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
