Each January, the Alzheimer Society supports and leads Canada's Alzheimer's Awareness Month. From Caregivers to those living with Alzheimers or Dementia, the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba ensures the continuation of information and resources to aid in the journey.

Kathy Fehr is the South Central Regional Co-ordinator with the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, and joined us for a conversation about how things are looking in Manitoba, by the numbers. There's no question, the public health orders like social distancing have affected those with the disease, and their families.

The website and online information has been a big help and their Personal Care Homes in Manitoba have really adapted to those living with Alzheimers and Dementia. There are some online opportunities to seek support and engage.

You can listen in to all of Kathy's thoughts and updates as shared with AM1250 Morning Show Co-host Jayme Giesbrecht in the AM1250 Audio Vault.
