The Lorette Comets and Steinbach Huskies were winners in the Hanover-Tache Junior Hockey League on Wednesday night.

Adam Loewen scored twice and Caden Unger stopped 22 shots as Steinbach (14-3) downed the Beausejour Shock 6-2. Jared Friesen, Nic Loewen, Jeremy Plett and Josh Cherneski also scored for the Huskies. Brady Musey and Devin Balness replied for the Shock (12-3). Beausejour goaltender Tyler Denchuk faced 60 shots.

Justin Boulet had a goal and five assists and Jordan Nagy scored twice as Lorette bounced the Niverville Clippers 9-1. Corey Hampson, Carson McCallum, Justin Dumontier, Alec Lafreniere, Jordy Lyle and Tyler Lanteigne also scored for the Comets (14-1-0-1) who are one point ahead of the second place Huskies. Denis Jeanson had the lone goal for the Clippers (2-15-1) who were outshot 53-12 by Lorette.
