A special night at the museum is planned for next month at Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.

Kristie Brandt says Homeschool Connections is putting on the event where students will have their own galleries on display to share their passion, talent and education.

“We have a student who's doing a presentation about the history of Lego and some of his creative builds,” she says. “We have a student who's booked to do a presentation on dinosaurs, we have another student who wants to do a presentation of their own artwork.”

Brandt notes they already have 29 galleries booked and there is space for more submissions.

“This is not only to our Connections group, this is open to any home-schooled students who's interested,” she says. “And they can book a spot to create a mini gallery for the museum and what they're going to do is create a presentation of anything that they're excited about.”

Night at the Museum will take place on May 16th and will include a performance by the homeschool band group.

Brandt says it is great to see students getting excited about sharing their interests and talents.
