The Head of Public Works for Hanover says the heavy rain has caused trouble on local roadways.

“We started checking at 5:30 AM this morning,” Wes Fehr indicates, “and we found numerous areas near Sarto, Pansy, Grunthal, and Steinbach where we have numerous washouts.”

Fehr says Old Tom Road and Park Road are the two highest traffic roads in the region that should be avoided, however many rural roads south of Provincial Road 205 near Grunthal and east of Highway 12 near Steinbach have also sustained significant water damage.

ure motorists are fully aware of the potentially hazardous roads.

Meanwhile, Fehr asks any Hanover residents who find other municipal roads that need attention to call Public Works at 204-346-7129.
