Hanover Ag has been named the 2019 Bull Riders Canada Event of the Year award winner.

Curtis Dawydiuk was in studio and explained how Hanover Ag won the award. "It was a year of change for us. We decided to shake up our event a bit and jump all in with a two day bull riding event. We were honoured last week in Alberta at their finals. They have 59 events across Manitoba to British Columiba and we took the title by one vote."

The voting is done by the bull riders which means a lot to Curtis. "It's a huge thing. We put in a ton of volunteers hours. The volunteers, the community and the sponors came to the table greatly to make it all happen. I just can't say thank you enough."

Winning the 2019 Event of the Year title will only make the 2020 event better, says Curtis. "As far as the bullriding goes, it will be similar to what we had in 2019. The replay screen will be back. I feel we've taken the bull riding rodeo side and shook it up, made some changes... now we're going to do it with the rest of the fair. It's our 75th anniversary for Hanover Ag. There's going to be some exciting changes coming for 2020."

Curtis will be back in the Country 107 studio Friday morning where there's going to be a big annoucement!
