The La Broquerie Habs U13 team are A2 League Champions.

11-year-old Zane was part of the team. "I've been playing for 8 years and I play the wing." He adds getting back on the ice with his teammates was amazing. "(Hockey) is like the only thing I do during winter."

For his mom Tania, it was seeing him happy that meant the most. "It's the best feeling in the world," she says with a smile. "There's nothing better than watching your kids do something they love and enjoy it"

"The wins also make it sweeter" she adds with a laugh.

To see the team celebrate together after a couple of years away also meant a lot to Tania and the other parents. "It just felt so good. It's such a great group of kids this year. Coming off two years of no hockey, they meshed so well together and had fun playing. You want to see them accomplish a goal. There were a lot of close games this year and to see them accomplish the end goal, see how happy and proud they are, it's just awesome."

Tania also notes the impact the coaches have on the kids. "They become like second parents to these kids. They get to know the kids so well, know what makes them tick and what they need. These coaches are incredible. Some players had to play different positions and they worked so hard with them. They made every kid feel special. It was really awesome to see your kid loved by other parents."

Both Tania and Zane can't wait for next year.
