Constable Jonathon Goertzen

A four year veteran of the Ste. Anne Police Department is pulling up stakes and moving to the Morden Police Department.

Jonathon Goertzen says it was time for a new challenge after a good run in Ste. Anne. "I've learned a lot in Ste. Anne. My boss has been really helpful with everything, even with switching over to Morden. He's taught me a lot of things in the last couple of years and everything I've learned I'll take with me to Morden," said Goertzen

Ste. Anne Police Chief Marc Robichaud has nothing but good things to say about Goertzen. "He's been a great constable with us here, been involved in a lot of different projects and with other agencies, and we're sad to see him go." Robichaud adds Goertzen has developed a proficiency in drug investigations and general investigations and is also a strong traffic officer.

Goertzen, who grew up in Kleefeld, says his career as a police officer is everything he hoped it would be. " Every day it's absolutely exactly what I thought and it's rewarding. Dealing with people and seeing some of the outcomes, I wouldn't change it for anything else."  He adds interacting with people is the best part of the job.
