Married, popstars, parents, lots of words can be used to describe Gianni Luminati and Sarah Blackwood from Walk Off The Earth. 

If you happened to miss it, Gianni and Sarah joined Kenton Dyck on the Saturday morning show this past weekend.

The power couple have three children and a wildly successful music career with countless hits. Blackwood says there are many benefits to having such intertwined lives. 

"There's no real hard separation between Gianni's job and my job, where the kids and who spends time away from each other and the kids." She adds "Getting to have our kids with us, bringing them on tour with us and bringing them to our jobs, it is a bit of a different lifestyle but that has been a real benefit, just getting to experience that with them."

On the other hand, they do need their space. And how do they get that space? 

"Two words," Gianni says, "Separate beds!"

Sarah immediately jumps in, explaining “We do have internal ways of finding that separation and giving ourselves that space and one of those things is we actually have separate bedrooms in our home.” 

They note, it also helps with sleep as they tend to have very different sleep schedules.  

However, this does raise eyebrows. Gianni notes “every time we say that to people, they say 'oh my god, I didn't realize you were having problems', but it's not like that. It makes our relationship even stronger.” 

Despite their stardom, in many ways, their lives mirror what every other parent experiences. In fact, when the call began, Sarah was in the middle of delivering gifts to her kid's teachers as the school year wrapped up.  

Sarah says they struggle with many of the same things as other parents do, like managing their kid's social media intake and output.  

"Our kids are so young, they do have ideas. Romeo, we produced a show with him (Romeo Eats) so there is lots of content from that that we can put up online that people will enjoy, but giving Romeo a camera by himself to shoot a TikTok, probably not the best idea!” She adds "I personally have an age limit for TikTok, I don't know what it is but none of them are there yet."
