It will open more doors for students in the Hanover School Division.
A new flexible learning centre has been approved and will operate out of the Steinbach Junior High.  Superintendent John Peters explains some students have difficulty coping with the regular school environment.  In response this program will allow these grade 7 or 8 students from around the division to be taught in smaller group settings.  They will also have more personalized attention.  Peters notes this is a pilot year and they will evaluate the benefits of this initiative.  But he feels it has the potential to become a long term option for students.
