The Steinbach Fire Department was called to a house fire on the west side of the city just before 5:30 P.M. Monday.

The home at 63 Whitby Crescent was engulfed in flames as RCMP went door to door alerting residents in the tightly packed neighbourhood.

Fire crews battled the blaze and were dosing nearby homes as well.
