Gay Lea Foods has provided an update regarding the fire Saturday morning (June 1) that broke out at the Bothwell Cheese production facility in New Bothwell. 

All employees are reported to have safely exited the building and no injuries were reported. 

The Hanover Fire Department responded to the call and extinguished the fire. 

“All of us at Gay Lea Foods and Bothwell Cheese are grateful for the skill and bravery of first responders who attended the facility and brought the fire under control. While the extent of the damage is not yet known, the Bothwell Cheese production facility is currently closed, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.” - Gay Lea Foods.
