One man is dead and a teenage girl is in critical condition following an accident Sunday morning near Lorette.
R.C.M.P. say it occured 2 kilometers west of of the community on Provincial Road 207. A car was heading east and missed a curve, went into the ditch and hit a driveway. It went airborn, then landed and rolled. 21 year-old Jesse Johnson of Winnipeg, formerly of the Lorette area died later in hospital. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt. A 16 year-old female passenger is in critical condition at the Health Sciences Centre. The driver and another passenger were treated for minor injuries. Police tell us the 17 year-old driver will be charged with impaired driving causing death. All 4 occupants were from Lorette.
