Provencher MP Ted Falk is back in Ottawa as the fall sitting Parliament begins Monday. Falk says he will pay extra attention to several issues based on feedback from constituents over the summer.

"One of the issues that has come up is confusion over this electoral reform. That's something I've heard from my constituents at the barbeques and festivals I attended. They want to make sure that they have a voice in that and that there's an opportunity to express their opinion in a referendum."

Falk adds people in the riding also remain concerned about the Liberal Government's tax and spend mentality and want the Conservative Opposition to do all it can to keep government finances in check. And, he says another issue brought to his attention relates to the Government's decision to again give RCMP the responsibility to classify firearms.

"There's some discussion that the Ruger 10/22 magazine may become prohibited. That's certainly a concern to all or our many, law-abiding, hunters, farmers and sports shooters."

Falk says he intends to stay on top of this matter.
