Traffic along Highway 52 west of La Broquerie has been down to a single lane this afternoon as the result of a flipped semi.

La Broquerie Fire Chief Al Nadeau says they were called to the scene around 12:30 pm. A semi truck and trailer had been parked on the side of the road, cleaning up a diesel spill that happened this summer. According to Steinbach RCMP, the truck had an unbalanced load, causing it to roll into the ditch, on top of their backhoe.

"There was nobody in the backhoe thank goodness," reports Nadeau. "He would have had a pretty good headache."
