It's crunch time for our Community Christmas Committee.
Spokesperson Moni Loewen says with only 2 weeks to go the donations have been slowly trickling in and they could really use help with more toys and people to deliver the hampers on December 21st in the afternoon.  Loewen says they could also use cash donations because the money is used to purchase the perishable food items like turkeys, potatoes, bread and milk.  She expects to put together around 600 hampers this time around which is around 25 more than last year.  This year the Community Christmas headquarters are in one of the former Lund Boats buildings.  Loewen says it's a great location because they will have lots of space to put together the hundreds of hampers.
