There was a collision south of Landmark around 6:45 Monday morning.

New Bothwell Fire Chief Ken Hiebert explains what happened.

"There was a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Provincial Roads 206 and 311. The vehicles were eastbound. One went to make a left turn and the other vehicle attempted to pass him and broadsided him."

Hiebert says the vehicle that was broadsided was a Toyota Rav 4. It was hit by an Oldsmobile Intrigue. There was one male in each vehicle. The driver of the Rav 4, who Hiebert says is in his mid-30's, was transported to hospital as a precaution. Hiebert adds the injuries did not appear to be serious.
