Kleefeld EMC and Elim Mennonite in Grunthal (below)

A church in Kleefeld is planning an expansion.  RM of Hanover Reeve Stan Toews says Kleefeld EMC has applied for permission to add on 1900 square feet to the front of the building.  He explains the church is located in an area zoned as Rural Residential or RR.  A conditional use permit

is required for this kind of expansion.

Meanwhile Grunthal Elim Mennonite Church is also expanding.  In this situation the matter came before municipal council because the new part of the building will be closer than 50 feet from the sidewalk.

Council held a public hearing and there was no opoosition on either matter.  Both requests were approved.
