A two-vehicle collision slowed traffic at the intersection of McKenzie Avenue and Harmony Lane late Friday afternoon.

Steinbach Fire Chief Kelvin Toews says when his crews arrived on scene at around 4:20 PM, both vehicles were damaged and sitting in the boulevard.

"The initial report was that there were no injuries," notes Toews who says he is unsure whether or not anyone was taken to hospital as a precaution. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Toews says, unfortunately, he expects to get a lot of these kinds of calls over the long weekend.

“They’re calling for snow over the next couple of days,” he cautions motorists, "so drive slowly, drive carefully, and drive to the conditions of the roads.”
