Winnipeg Blue Bomber Kito Poblah passing on advice to Eastman Raider players

The Eastman Raiders midget football team was pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening to see two Winnipeg Blue Bombers join their practice.

Wide receiver Kito Poblah and offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk both took the Raiders through a bunch of drills.

"We are going to work on a few mobility drills before they get into a full out practice," says Poblah, who grew up playing football in Montreal. "We just want to have some fun."

Kowalczuk says being apart of these kind of events brings back good memories.

"I will never forget my time playing in high school and college. It's unforgettable, I can only imagine what's going through these guy's minds right now."

Both CFL professionals were very familiar with the atmosphere. Kowalczuk says he runs football clinics during the off season, helping teach offensive line techniques and Poblah says that he hopes to help out more in the future.

"I have started up a program like this in Winnipeg called 'Finish First Football.' It's not a daily thing, but I love to do it and I  would like to make it a daily thing," says Poblah.

While the Raiders prepare to continue their successful 5-1 season against the Fort Gary Lions this weekend, the Bombers are trying to stop the bleeding, having not won since their 32-25 home victory back on August 16th versus the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

The Bombers will be looking to rally around their healthy starting quarterback Buck Pierce Friday evening and continue their success against Hamilton at Canad Inns Stadium.

"Buck is back, it's a good feeling," says Poblah. "Everybody is excited to be back at home and hopefully we can pull this thing out and put together a little streak."
