Jo-Anne Marion is the Director of Health Services at Bethesda. She says with a huge storm forecast, they had to prepare for the worst-case scenario. She notes managers from all departments met earlier this week to review staffing options, make sure the backup generators were ready to go, they had oxygen tanks topped up, and even prepared for staff to stay the night if need be.

Considering the challenges that hospital staff have had to deal with related to COVID-19 over the last two years, Marion says she is incredibly proud of how her staff continues to find the energy to step up and help out when conditions get tough.
