Codey Behun was mistaken for Auston Matthews in the team hotel prior to the Steinbach Pistons taking on the OCN Blizzard on Saturday and 19-year-old forward played the part with a beautiful, rocket of a wrister that sent Steinbach home with a 3-2 come from behind win in overtime.

Steinbach put themselves in quite the hole to start the game as the penalty killers were victimized twice, once on a five on three, but the OCN Blizzard took advantage to take a 2-0 lead in the first.

Things started to tilt a little as the period went on but the Pistons couldn't get anything going and trailed after 20 minutes 2-0.

Max Neil, who has played some of his best hockey of the season over the weekend, managed to get Steinbach to within a goal after sneaking home a backhander while the Pistons were on a power play to cut the lead to 2-1. For Neil, it was his seventh of the season with Zach Purcell and Curtis Ireland picking up the assists.

Wave after wave towards the Blizzard zone in the third as the Pistons pushed for the equalizer. After OCN took a penalty with the pressure on, the Pistons used the man advantage to tie the game.

Declan Graham teed up a chance for the home town hero Bryce Young who unleashed a cannon of a slap shot that was stopped but rattled the goalie enough that he couldn't control the rebound which dropped right in the blue paint and Ty Naaykens (8) found it first and knocked it home to tie the game 2-2.

In overtime, with a big extra point hanging in the balance, Codey Behun and Bryce Young took their turn in the three on three showcase. Pistons video coach Graham Pollock remarked as they went onto the ice, "they're gonna do it. These two are gonna get it done."

Pollock called it.

After breaking up an OCN rush, Young had the puck through the neutral zone and dumped it over to Behun who went streaking into the Blizzard zone facing two OCN defenders, Behun let loose a wrister that went top shelf for his team leading 12th goal of the season to give Steinbach the comeback win 3-2.

Matt Lenz held the fort making 17 saves between the second period, third and overtime. Lenz now has 16 wins on the season. Overall, it was a 27 save performance for the 20-year-old.

Steinbach's power play was impressive again saving the day going 2-3 while the penalty kill bent but didn't break finishing 3-5.

After a three games in three night road trip where the Pistons finished 2-1, taking a 4 out of a possible 6 points, they currently stand alone atop the Manitoba Junior Hockey League standings with a 18-4-1-1 record, good for 38 points, two more then second place with one less game played.

The Pistons will enjoy Grey Cup Sunday off before getting back to work in anticipation for a four game home stand starting on Friday night vs the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.
