The superintendant of the Red River Valley School Division says there's some great news out the bus fire that happened Friday morning south of Ste. Anne.  The driver smelled smoke while travelling south to Mennonite Heritage Village for a field trip with the bus full of students from the J.A. Cuddy School in Sanford.  Kelly Barkman says it's unfortunate the bus caught fire.  However, everyone remained calm and nobody got hurt.  The bus was badly damaged and Barkman says it will have to be replaced.  What happened with the students?  Another bus came to pick them up and they continued their field trip.
