The 32nd annual Lions Charity Club 'Wheels Of Hope Car Show' saw about 130 participants on Sunday at the Mennonite Heritage Village.

Rocky the squirrel was also enjoying the car show at the Mennonite Heritage Village.Despite the rain leading up to the event on Saturday as well as Sunday morning, Show Chairman Jarrod Bradley says the turnout was still great. Bradley says the event started when the saw a need in the community for those needing scooters, walkers, canes or lift chairs but could not afford them on their own.  He adds he has seen growth over the years.

"We actually started in downtown Steinbach and ourgrew the skating rink/curling rink area.  We moved here to the museum and every year the car count slowly goes up and with more people coming out to see the grounds and the cars, it helps us get the chairs and stuff we need."

Bradley adds they have already been able to help five individuals this year acquire a necessary piece of medical equipment and in total have helped about 200 people through the car show proceeds.

In conjunction with the 'Wheels Of Hope Car Show' was the Steinbach Flying Club Open House where people were able to look at the different airplanes and have the opportunity for a plane ride.
