--------------------

Saturday will likely go down as one of the biggest nights of Amanda Lee Bordun's life.

The Steinbach resident is taking the stage tonight in the final events at the Miss Universe Canada pageant in Toronto.  Bordun has been competing all week and it all comes down to Saturday night.

She is one of two Manitoba women taking part in the event in the field of 62.  The other Manitoba contestant is from Thompson.

Friday night, the ladies took part in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions.  Saturday is more pageant work along with a personal interview.  They will be evaluated on both of those and also have their humanitarian work examined and evaluated by judges.

Despite the fact only two women will be handed the chance to vie for the crown, all 62 will be taking part in the production numbers Saturday evening for the 'live' pageant.  It's not being broadcast on TV, but anyone interested can watch the broadcast online at the website www.beautiesofcanada.com starting at 7pm.
