The hottest team in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League at the Christmas break plays its home games out of the Sun Gro Centre in Beausejour.

The Eastman Selects defeated the Pembina Valley Hawks 4-2 and 6-1 last weekend in Morden and extended their winning streak to nine games.

The Selects, who have outscored their oppostion 55-17 during this impressive stretch of games, haven't seen the loss column in over a month.

The first place Brandon Wheat Kings beat Eastman 8-3 and 7-5 back on November 19th & 20th at the Sun Gro Centre,

The Selects (20-4-3) are 10 points back of the Wheat Kings and five points behind the second place Winnipeg Wild.

Eastman is eight points ahead of the fourth place Parkland Rangers.

The Selects first game of 2022 is January 8th against the Rangers in Dauphin.

 

Clayton Dreger asked Eastman head coach Dwight Hirst if the team had a goal of reaching 20 wins before the start of the Christmas break
