Police probe fire at Nahanni Fontaine's constituency office

Police are investigating a fire at the constituency office of a Manitoba cabinet minister. Winnipeg police say the major crimes unit is investigating a blaze at the office of Families Minister Nahanni Fontaine, which is in a small one-storey building. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says the fire was reported around 5 a.m., crews responded and got it under control within 40 minutes. There was no one in the building at the time and officials say damage has not yet been estimated. The same office saw its windows smashed earlier this month. Four fires at Bernadette Smith's office In an adjacent constituency, the office of Bernadette Smith, the minister for housing, addictions and homelessness, has been hit by four attempted fires since the start of August. Police are investigating all of the incidents and have not announced any arrests.
