Steady rains over the past 24-hours leaves the southeast soggy
It's pretty rare for Southern Manitoba to have an all-day rainfall event in October, but that's what happened in the past 24 hours. With a consistent average of 1mm of rain per hour, some communities in the southeast experienced more. Roads and streets were able to keep up with drainage, while field conditions remain quite wet. The following rainfall totals were reported on Manitoba Ag Weather Network from Monday, October 27, through 11 am Tuesday, October 28. ZHODA 33.1mm (Monday) -15.3mm (Tuesday) = 48.4mm GARDENTON 34.7mm (Monday) - 11.1mm (Tuesday) = 45.8mm MARCHAND 27.9mm (Monday) - 14.2mm (Tuesday) = 43.1mm DOMINION CITY 34.9mm (Monday) - 4.3mm (Tuesday) = 39.2mm ROSA 27.2mm (Monday) - 10.5mm (Tuesday) = 37.7mm ST ADOLPH 24.3mm (Monday)- 9.1mm (Tuesday) = 33.4mm STEINBACH 20.1mm (Monday) - 12.2mm (Tuesday) = 32.3mm Environment Canada is forecasting that the clouds will move out overnight, providing a respite from the rain on Wednesday. However, another system is expected to move in for the rest of the workweek, with the possibility of snow on Sunday and next Monday.
