Colorado Low delivers rainy, windy weekend
A Colorado Low dumped a lot of rain in Southern Manitoba over the weekend. According to Environment Canada, embedded thunderstorms lead to heavier amounts of rain over extreme southeastern Manitoba. One severe thunderstorm produced a report of ping pong sized hail at Sprague Saturday evening. The following rainfall totals have been reported by Environment Canada and Manitoba Agriculture: Sprague Lake - 60.2 millimetres (mm) Lac du Bonnet - 43 mm St. Labre - 36.4 mm Beausejour - 36.1 mm Prawda - 35.6 mm Stead - 34.5 mm Woodridge Fire - 34.3 mm Richer - 33.6 mm Vivian - 31.7 mm Menisino - 31.4 mm Hadashville Fire - 31.2 mm Marchand - 30.7 mm Elma - 29.8 mm Gardenton - 29.5 mm Pinawa - 29.4 mm Zhoda - 26.2 mm St. Pierre - 25.6 mm St. Adolphe - 25.3 mm Rosa - 24.4 mm Dominion City - 23.7 mm Dugald - 23.3 mm Steinbach - 21.5 mm Environment Canada issued a wind warning for Southern Manitoba Sunday. The following wind gusts have been reported by Environment Canada and Manitoba Agriculture: Kane - 85 km/h Altona - 84 km/h Dominion City - 83 km/h Stead - 83 km/h Lac du Bonnet - 80 km/h Emerson - 80 km/h St. Pierre 76 km/h Lac du Bonnet - 70 km/h
