A woman received a roadside suspension following a single vehicle incident in the wee hours of Sunday morning at the west end of Mitchell.

RCMP report at 2:30 a.m., a Chevrolet Cobalt was heading west along Highway #52 through Mitchell when it went out of control and struck the centre median sign where the highway narrows from four lanes to two. Investigators say the vehicle spun around, came to a stop in the eastbound lanes and was no longer drivable.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old woman from the RM of Hanover was given a 72-hour suspension for having a blood-alcohol level above .05.
