Police have released more details on a crash Sunday in the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne.

Steinbach RCMP received a report at 3:30 Sunday afternoon that a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle (ATV) had rolled. The incident happened along Road 39 East. 

Officers arrived to find two injured men. A 57-year-old man from the area was airlifted by STARS to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg in stable condition. The other male, a 56-year-old, also from the area, was transported to hospital in Winnipeg by ground ambulance.

According to police, both men remain in hospital with serious injuries.

Initial investigation has determined that the males were riding the ATV in a gravel pit when it tipped on its side.

The investigation continues.
