The Steinbach Pistons acquired two new players in exchange for Russell Trudeau. The Landmark native was sent to the Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in exchange for forward Mark Owen (91) of Carmen and goaltender Zachary Rackochy (93) of Canora, Saskatchewan.

Steinbach is in desperate need of consistent goaltending and are hoping Rackocky will be the answer in between the pipes.

Brennan Ritchie is still waiting for the hockey club to move him out of town. The Pistons aren't planning to give up the Ste. Anne product for nothing, they are waiting for an offer that will help them now and into the future.

Owen suited up for the Pistons Friday night in Portage on the top line with Brett Fargher and Cole Burnet. Brunet is very familiar with Owen as the two were teammates with the Pembina Valley Hawks of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.

The coaching staff is hoping they will create some magic alongside Fargher and help link together a few wins.

That wasn't the scenario Friday night when they got to play together for the first time. They weren't able to muster up any offensive pressure. They will have a few days to get on the same page before the Pistons play the Terriers on Wednesday at the T.G. Smith Centre.
