New Bothwell Fire Assessed the vehicle then left the sceneThe New Bothwell Fire Department responded to a car fire call shortly after 8 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Provincial Road 311 and Provincial Road 216.

Kevin Toews is the New Bothwell District Deputy Fire Chief. He says the call was a false alarm.

"It appears a car had some trouble this morning, he blew out his oil and it smoked under the hood and being concerned he called the fire department."

Toews says traffic was down to one lane on Provincial Road 311 for 15 to 20 minutes while crews assessed the vehicle.
