It's another first for Steinbach.  This city is the first in western Canada to have an autophoretics plant.  It's called Industrial Coating Systems.  The process applies a highly corrosion-resistant finish to metal, something desired by manufacturers of things like farm equipment and auto parts.
Partners Joe Waldner, Len Neufeld and Paul Vielfaure say they identified a need for such a plant and are excited to see it open for business.  They say the advanced finishing system provides about 10 times the protection of paint on metal surfaces.  The plant is located at the rear of Three-Way Builders along Highway #12.
