Lots of snow to remove from boulevards in Steinbach.

It's a race between snow clearing crews and mother nature.  Snow removal is in full swing and Public Works Department Head Randy Reimer says there's a lot of work to do.

The goal for Thursday is to complete snow removal along Loewen Boulevard, all the way from Highway 12 to Hespeler Street.  In Steinbach's East end on Wednesday, snow removal took place on Highway 52, which slowed traffic a bit.

Traffic slows near snow clearing crews on Highway 52.

The forecast is calling for snow and a gusty wind Thursday evening and overnight.  Reimer says that could set them back a few days because crews would have to focus on clearing streets before being able to return to snow removal.

We're asked to watch for the big machines and practise extra caution around them.
