The Eastman Selects gave up three third period goals and dropped a 4-3 decision to the Central Plains Capitals on Sunday afternoon in Portage la Prairie. Troy Blad, Brett Lockhart and Jonathan Kasdorf did the goal scoring for the Selects who had a 3-1 lead with nine minutes left. Johl Swedlo scored the winning goal for the Capitals with 40 seconds remaining. Eastman is in fifth place in the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's East Division with a record of 4-5. The Selects next game is Tuesday in Teulon against Interlake. The Lightning have won eight of nine games to start the season.
