Born and raised in Norris Arm South Rosemary was the eldest of nine children. She moved to Gander in 1979 where she worked and raised her family for over 20 years. In 2003 she moved to Ontario where most of her siblings resided and then to Lynn Lake MB where she met the love of her life Dennis and they began the next chapter of their life together. They eventually settled in Gretna MB after retirement, though neither really stopped working for long, with Rosemary taking on different roles at the Oakview Golf Course, getting paid for what she most loved to do, cook and take care of people.

Rosemary and Dennis spent almost twenty wonderful years together between Gretna and their life at the Oakview Golf club, winters in Florida, and trips to Newfoundland whenever she could get back home. Rosemary had a quick wit, strong convictions and fearless way of sharing her thoughts and feelings. You never had to guess what she was thinking because it was said or written on her face. She went by many names: Mom, Mother, Rosemary, Aunt Rosemary, R White, Nan, Grandma Rosemary, Evil Stepmother, the Queen of Zephyrhills, Mayoral First Lady of Gretna to name a few… and she loved and wore them all with great pride. She was blessed with wonderful family and friends in Newfoundland, Manitoba, Florida, and in her online community. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
