Steinbach Bible College held their annual fundraiser golf tournament at Quarry Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday.

President Dave Reimer says they were worried at the start of the day, but things really came together.

“It was excellent, the big question was the weather because they were forecasting 100% rain and for some reason God gave us this gift, which was good weather, nice, cool weather. It wasn't hot like last year and it started raining as soon as we got into the tent, a beautiful day.”

Reimer says the annual fundraiser golf tournament is a two-pronged event with dates in both Steinbach and Morden.

He notes “This is our biggest fundraising event that we do, and so it does draw the community of SBC together, we see a bunch of our friends, friends see one another and it's a significant fundraiser that helps us to run the programs that we do.”

For the Steinbach event on Tuesday, Reimer adds “We had 184 golfers, which we're really glad for and the sponsorship was good, so we're very encouraged with the turnout. It's alumni, it's friends, it's partners, it's people that believe in the mission of Steinbach Bible College that are saying 'we want to be part of this thing', it's very encouraging to us.”

SBC will hold their golf tournament at Minnewasta Golf and Country Club on June 18th for their supporters on the other side of the river.
